"Conform Deform" is Digital Carbs sophomore release, following up their 2022 debut album "Are We Taking It Slowly".

Disorienting grooves, dreamy guitars, intimate vocal performances and huge energy shifts still characterize the band's sound. But both the arrangements and the performances seem more lively. The lyrics are more focused and delve into societal issues. Rather than pointing fingers at others, the band reflects on personal struggles deeply rooted in today's society.

“Conform Deform” was released on December 14, 2023 via Schaufel und Besen Records.


This is a big and impressive canvass that had me thinking both Radiohead and Suede so we’re in peak 90’s territory when it felt like a new anthem appeared from the indie-rock undergrowth every few days. And ‘Niche Documentaries’ wouldn’t have been out of place, coming across like a prime cut from ‘Ok, Computer’. Digital Carbs don’t hold back in the grandeur either, this is a production that is made for big stacks and a thrilling experience it would be too. Top notch stuff from Johannes Rest and his Munich bandmates.
